Dr. Martin is a rare breed of orthopedic doctor. Not only is Dr. Martin the only fellowship-trained pediatric sports medicine orthopedist in the state of Georgia, she is the only female pediatric sports medicine doctor in Georgia and one of only a small number of fellowship-trained female orthopedists in the United States. In addition, her skills in handling complex pediatric orthopedic conditions were featured on a Discovery Channel documentary.

Dr. Martin brings an especially unique perspective to the treatment of athletes. As an active athlete and team doctor, Dr. Martin understands the importance of injury care and rehabilitation. She has expertise in adult sports medicine for repairing knee injuries such as ACL and meniscal (cartilage) injuries, and for performing arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. Among pediatric orthopedic conditions, Dr. Martin has expertise in congenital disorders like scoliosis, clubfoot deformities and limb length inequality, and as a pediatric sports medicine expert, Dr. Martin has performed more skeletally immature ACL reconstruction surgeries than anyone in Georgia.
